Imperiale Palace Hotel was built in 1889 by aristocratic Costa
family of Corsica. In 1905, a new wing was added to establish the
Villa as a Hotel and in 1910, the building was further extended to
its present state.
The Imperiale Palace, with its imposing facade, brand new cream
painted, is surrounded by a beautiful park and offers breathtaking
views of the Tigullio Bay. The whole Hotel is in neo classic and
liberty style, with large, bright public areas, richly decorated
with fine Liberty furnitures and fittings.
The Lobby and Caffe Del Trattato, the panoramic "Restaurant
Novecento" which can accommodate 50 people, the open-air Terrace
which hosts breakfast and dinner during summer time.
The "Terrazza Paraggi", with the magnificent view of Santa
Marghetita and its enchanting night lights, for musical evenings
under the stars. In the old Villa, where the aristocracy once lived,
the glamour of the "Belle Epoque" is stunningly visible in the
magnificent three Imperial Suites. On the second floor, the "Sala
del Trattato", where Germans and Soviets once signed the famous
Treaty of Rapallo, lavishly decorated in Pompeian Style. The Hotel
has an outstanding Congress Center, fully equipped sitting up to 200
people, and 2 other small meeting rooms, capacity of 20 and 40
people. Newly created is the SPA-Fitness center with specialized
staff.
In front of the main entrance, a small stone bridge, built just over
the main road, takes you down, in the middle of a large exotic
garden, to the salt water swimming pool, while relaxing having a
massage. The privilege of enjoying the extended private beach in
superb position with its Bar-Restaurant "Le Vele", opened only for
lunch from May till September.
